I'm sure you've all noticed my absence over the past month---we went to Iowa and Nebraska for the month of March to escape winter. We should have stayed home. I contracted the flu on the way OUT, and spent the entire time in Nebraska ill, as I ended up morphing that flu into pneumonia.. I"m glad we had a house rental, as dealing with that in a hotel would have been a nightmare.
We got home a few days ago, and it's still cold and drizzly and miserable, but it's HOME and when you feel lousy, it's the best place on earth.
It felt so good to meander out to the garden to take photos. Hubby calls me Jihad Jane---as I am bundled in a face mask and hooded coat. Laugh all you want, dear man......at least I am OUTSIDE!!!
There is lots of clean-up to be done and hopefully over the course of the next month my endless list
will start to get whittled down.
Garlic starting to peek through the straw
West Side of Garden looking north towards the older blueberry bushes
Lots of clean-up work ahead
Getting ready to set up cold frames
New Blueberry patch came through it's first winter healthy
East Flower border---lots of cleanup needed
I've been working at catching up with your blogs. I've missed you all so much. Can't wait to
see what you've all been up to.
